About the Role 

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at the Guinness Packaging site in Belfast.  

At Diageo Marshalls Road, Belfast, our Quality Assurance team plays a vital role in ensuring excellence across our production operations. We provide experienced analytical support and technical guidance in Quality, Food Safety, and Quality Management Systems. Our mission is to uphold the highest standards, ensuring every packaged product meets statutory requirements and market specifications. As part of our team, you’ll contribute to driving continuous improvement and delivering Diageo’s strategic vision for quality and innovation. 

As part of the shift quality team, you will work closely with other teams such as the Team Manager, production coordinators, operators, engineers, and compliance teams. Responsibilities include conducting quality analysis, calibrating equipment, auditing processes, and ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Work within the shift team, following a continental shift pattern and providing holiday cover. 

Conduct analytical and microbiological sampling as per the Quality Sampling Plan. 

Ensure accurate and efficient sampling in the packaging environment. 

Analyse QA and production data, address quality issues, and provide feedback. 

Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot quality instrumentation. 

Support the site’s Quality Management Systems. 

Act as the key contact for quality-related matters during shifts. 

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. 

Work reverse days as scheduled to meet contractual hours and support projects. 

 

Health and safety compliance is key, and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside ensuring both site and personal KPI’s are achieved.
