Quality Assurance Technician (2nd shift - 3pm to 11:30pm with shift differential)

Job Description

Perform microbiological, chemical and physical analysis for product, ingredient, environmental, and sanitation chemical samples as soon as they arrive. Calculate and determine the amount of ingredients needed to adjust semi-finished good sample readings back to the specified range. Discuss results and findings with those in charge of the products and recommend any required corrective actions. Conduct microbiological analysis for provided samples, verify data measured against specifications, and determine acceptability. Enter data into the system, conduct trend analysis, and report any trends to the supervisor promptly. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, keep the working area clean, and assist QA/QC management in improving the microbiological, chemical, and physical quality of products. Work as a team with other lab technicians and assist each other in providing data promptly.

Work in a food manufacturing and laboratory environment with the Micro Department, both in the lab and on the production floor. The position is 100% lab-based. The team consists of 4 technicians. Dress code adheres to GMP standards. The regular shift is from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a night shift premium of $1.50. The probationary period will require working Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Flexibility to work some weekends, overtime, and possible afternoon shifts is required. Candidates may need to cover weekends as needed with advance notice and will have 2 days of rest.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr.
