\nThe Quality Assurance Technician will perform daily inspection activities to support the production operation, in compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practices established for WNA.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Routine daily inspections include checking packaging, packaging specifications, scale counts, leak test, densities and Let Down Ratios, stemware/base fit, tray/lid fits, measuring trays, Print Room checks, Reflections Room checks, Repack Areas, compression testing, salt and sugar testing. Obtain full shot samples and statistical data from machinery. Routine documentation of essential daily Quality reviews: Enter densities for MPs, Reflections, Trays, etc. into the appropriate computer program. Check and record weights of product in production. Document Lid Fits, Scale Checks and Leakers into the Event Report. Write up QC Hold Tags and Root Cause Analysis Form as needed, documenting them in the log, and notify appropriate staff. Generate, log, and distribute DARs as needed after approval has been obtained. Effectively communicate with management regarding quality issues. Document and disposition quality issues to ensure problem resolution. View control charts and communicate information to molders. Understand the requirements of the standards of the British Retail Consortium (BRC), as well as all of our other third-party audits. Adhere to all GMPs and all BRC requirements and encourage enforcement to all the third-party standards. Perform all the quality procedures as spelled out in “Quality Training for New or Existing Employees CEQAP-096.” Other duties as assigned. \n Must be eligible to work in the United States Able to successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug screen High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge of the food packaging industry preferred Knowledge of a manufacturing environment Computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel) and basic network navigation Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk and perform seated computer/desk work for up to 8 hours per day.
