The Quality Engineer will  work closely with project teams and stakeholders as part of Agile Scrum /Waterfall project teams.  They will also be responsible for building and executing Manual and Automation testing programs for Dollar Tree/Family Dollar programs. The QE will also perform resource capacity planning, prepare and review QA/QE estimate, and coordinate all QA/QE activities for their assigned PODs
 
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesGuide the team of internal and external QA testers for Automation testing and architecturePerform critical tasks for the QA department like but not limited to – lead project intake meetings, estimates QA/QEA efforts & resource capacity planning, prepare status reports, communicate with project stakeholders. Prepare and review QA deliverables, test strategy, test plans, test scripts based on business requirements.Govern QEA processes/Initiatives and provide progress reports on the QEA initiatives. Coordinate all testing activities between QA Team/Development Teams/Business/vendor, for assigned projects/PODs.Conduct and drive defect triage callsBuild automation/manual test cases and perform test execution Proactively raise, escalate and communicate quality issues and potential project risksShould define the appropriate Test Automation framework working with the development and architect teamsPerform project and non-project related tasks and activities to support the department's goals and objectivesProactively look at opportunities on improving the QA/QE process with best practices as applicableWillingness to learn new technologies, tools and applications to support the business

Required Qualifications7+ years testing experience4+ years of experience as QE in Retail Experienced in one or all these Retail Functionalities- Supply Chain, Digital( Website and Mobile), Merchandising ,Core Systems( HR, Finance, Legal , Real Estate), POS 3+ years exp in Ui Path toolExperience using test automation and performance testing toolsHands on experience in API automationPrior testing experience working on Point Of Sale ( POS) systemsShould have strong knowledge in best practices working in test strategies and automationProven experience in team building and hiringAbility to organizing, prioritizing activities across multiple projects is essentialExperience working with multiple vendors and distributed teams Need robust understanding of various type of test strategies and their applicabilityIntermediate skill level in Microsoft tools like excel, PowerPoint, MS word
