Quality Assurance Trainer

Summary: The Quality Assurance (QA) Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices in animal care and facility operations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining high-quality standards in animal welfare, biosecurity, and facility protocols while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Develop and implement staff training programs Conduct hands-on and classroom instruction Assess employee technical proficiency and maintain training records Support IACUC training and compliance requirements Assist in contract research execution for husbandry and technical procedures Conduct quality control inspections and generate QA/QC reports Oversee occupational health appointments for staff Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Strong verbal communication and teaching abilities Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology Understanding of regulatory guidelines, SOPs, and safety procedures Proficiency in training curriculum development Minimum Qualifications: Certified Manager Animal Resources (CMAR) American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) certification at the Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) level Minimum of 5 years in an animal facility of similar size and scope At least 1 year in an animal research training position Ability to pass an employment background check Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
