Job Description
The Quality Auditor provides support regarding packaging, assembly, and performs incoming audits of purchased parts. Performs quality assurance activities to assure that all finished goods & parts meet the specification and requirements. Monitors systems and procedures to measure their effectiveness to ensure customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Participate in the quality sampling systems and procedures to ensure that all required test samples are obtained and prepared for testing. Prepare samples to the specific required sizes for testing utilizing a miter saw, table saw, drill press, and planer.Responsible for assisting manufacturing in the monitoring and assuring of product quality.Routinely tests product characteristics, in process and post production. Graphs, analyzes, records and reports meaningful information from these tests.Promptly reports results of audits/tests/analyses to the appropriate individual; advising whether or not the results are acceptable.Advises production and quality management of observed trends in quality parameters.Supports maintaining and updating test records. Includes data entry of test results into the required databases.Participate in the evaluation and initiation of actions to improve quality performance.Must work overtime, holidays and weekends as scheduled.Other duties may be assigned.QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic metrology skills with test equipmentReasonable computer skills, especially Microsoft Office/ExcelMust have basic math skillsReasonable interpersonal, skillsAble to work as a team member with a diverse workforceEducation/Experience:
High school diploma or GEDMust pass the Quality Skills testAbility to read and writeExperience using computers and ExcelIndustrial manufacturing experience preferredASQ CQT certification preferredAdditional InformationBENEFITS
