Quality Automation Engineer

The Opportunity:

The Quality Automation Engineer will have responsibilities including partnering with QA/QE, DevOps, Functional and Integration teams to define, design, and build or modify the automation framework. You will create a robust set of automation tests to result in a deep and flexible set of tests that become the primary foundation of continuous delivery testing. You will maintain these frameworks by following the current standards and coordinating test execution, training users, and providing user support. You will be reporting to the Application Development Team Lead.

The Day-to-Day:

Design and deliver automation and automation framework for products with a quality approachDesign, develop, and configure QE tools to lead application development efficiencies and improve operational stability of the applications that adhere to security and audit systemsFoster the adoption of Test automation, Performance and Test data management tools and capabilities across Technology groupsWork with Quality Engineering, App Dev Team Leads to define Quality Engineering processes, standards, tools, best practices, execution strategies, roadmaps to connect current designs to long-term architectureCollaborate and implement strategies for DevOps and Integration teams to integrate Test automation suites as part of the CI/CD frameworksMeticulously examine and evaluate our software applications to identify potential issues, defects or inconsistencies affecting the end-user experienceWork closely & collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, scrum masters & devops throughout the development lifecycleLearn and understand business processesKnowledge of testing methodologiesReview requirements to understand testing needsCreate, managing, analyzing and using test plans & test casesCreate & managing test data for test casesEvaluate product features and functionality according to specificationsAnalyze testing resultsIdentify, documenting and reporting software defectsBug & defect trackingSchedule & coordinating test executionLeverage quality engineering tools to guide application development efficiencies and improve operational stability of the applicationsDevelop scripts and processes to increase automation of testing and adherence to security and audit systems and controlsSupport automation of various testing activities across the enterpriseMust adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and methodologies as the software development landscape evolves

Your Qualifications:

3+ years' experience:

SalesforceSoftware testing and test automation of web and API-based solutionsAutomation and test data management tools such as Test Complete Pro, Ready API, NeoLoad, GenRocket, and Zephyr ScaleTest applications developed in various SDLC methodologies like AgileBuild and maintain the test automation frameworksDevOps tools, such as Github, Jenkins, or SplunkScripting languages like Shell Scripting, Groovy, Python, Java, or JavaScript, and Atlassian tools like JIRA or Confluence

2+ years' experience:

Implement BDD/TDD and relevant toolsetsRelational database management skills like MSSQL, MySQL, SQL, Postgres or MongoDBIntegrate test automation frameworks with DevOps pipelines in private cloud and public cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google or Amazon AWS cloud servicesRegulated industry experience; financial services experienceBachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field required; advanced degree in a related field

Ability to:

Train IT product delivery teams and motivate peers on the proper use of Automation frameworks, Test Data Management tools and capabilitiesPresent to managers, technology, and business partners
