Quality Control and Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

The Quality Control and Assurance Engineer will conduct incoming inspection and ensure fabrication activities. You will work closely with the clients and inspectors for the project testing and inspection activities.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Conducts incoming inspection per GRI process for all buyout and systems project to ensure compliance to project specification.  Ensures fabrication activities of the Skid Fabricator & Shelter Fabricator align with relevant codes, project specifications or in the absence of both, to basic Engineering Practices, as laid out in respective Inspection and Test Plan.  Co-ordinates all project testing and inspection activities by client and third-party inspectors per the Inspection Test Plan Prepare, reviews, follow up and approves quality documentation & records for systems project (including fabricator’s MDR and documents of bought-out-items from vendors) for submission as part of project final documentation. Follow Emerson EHS practices at all times, including Fabricator/SI sites and report in Velocity/EHS rep when lapse is observed Ensures the proficiency and qualification of fabricators to meet the needs of international standards and division procedure. You encourage the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions.   For This Role, You Will Need: Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years in quality function. ln—depth knowledge of ASME Sec IX, || (Part &C) ASME B 31 .3 31,8 & AWS D1 .1. Knowledge of testing requirements, Welding & Fabrication Procedures, Qualification Test and relevant codes and standards (other ASME, ASTM codes, etc.).  Strong planning and organization skills with ability to communicate and work with peers, subcontractors, and vendors Able to manage in fast-paced environment Have knowledge in basic problem-solving tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA, etc.) Have ownership, responsibility and accountability for projects assigned and support to the Project Manager on the overall Project schedule and compliance Able to travel on short notice to sites for ad-hoc inspections   Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or any related field Certification as QMS Auditor Lead Auditor preferred.  Professional certifications in Welding (AWS, CISWIP), Painting (NACE) and NDE Level 2 are greatly desirable  Knowledge in Class rules (DNV, LR, ABS etc.), NR requirements (Petrobras), ABS FOI rules will be greatly desirable Our Offer To You:
