What you'll be involved in:
Teledyne Microwave UK have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control and CMM Inspector to join their Quality team. You would be involved in;
Inspection of components and products using visual standards for electronics and standard engineering measuring equipment including three co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM), in line with drawings, industry standard and specifications.
Working closely with procurement and production to identify potential problems at early stage of manufacture.
Assisting operations with resolving quality issues either in-house, or at the supplier’s premises as required.
Compiling test results and records as required for FAIR reporting internally and to customers.
Main responsibilities:
To produce, prove out and run new programs for the CMM machine to enable meticulous measurement of TMUK components and units.
Part inspection and final to mechanical drawings using both electronic measuring machines, and handheld measuring equipment (such as calliper verniers, dial indicators, shadowgraph, gauges and tolerance indicators)
To inspect microscopic detail of electronic circuits and machined components.
To visually inspect plated and mechanical assembled metalwork.
To ensure all associated documentation is accurately maintained.
To report any discrepancies / non-conformances using the appropriate procedures in line with the quality procedures.
To relieve production inspection personnel when required.
To deal with day-to-day problems first hand in the absence of the Chief Inspector, referring any major issues to relevant personnel.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by a member of management.
Supply CMM results to operations and customers as required.
Diligently manage and track parts and products through the department.
Use MRP system to review stock / priority and reject parts back to suppliers.
Ensure QC equipment is tracked and used within calibration dates.
What we're looking for in you:
Experience in a quality control role.
Proficiency in CMM program platforms.
Competency in using gauges/tools and interpreting CMM reports.
Knowledge of analytical techniques and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
A flexible attitude, excellent communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach.
