The Quality Control Associate role is based in Adamsburg, PA and reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DOPerform quality control tests on asphalt & aggregate productsWork in conjunction with production personnel to evaluate problems with qualityMaintain necessary documentation of the testing procedure and resultsPrepare documentation for customers and contractors certifying the product qualityAssist Plant Managers with other duties such as assessing stockpile inventory, performing scale clerk duties or other office clerical work, supporting plant maintenance during breakdowns. Build and maintain relationships with plant employees and customersEnsure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditionsWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; college or technical degree a plus!1-2 yrs. Quality Control experience in a stone quarry or related industrySolid computer skills and MS Excel experience preferredDemonstrated basic math skillsStrong communication skills to interact with customers, contractors, agency personnel and plant personnelPENNDOT Asphalt Certification preferred. Must be willing and able to pass the certification if it is not currently heldWork overtime as needed. During the construction season, the workweek may run 5 to 6 days / 45 to 65 hours per weekWork independentlyStrong attention to detail and recordkeepingAbility to work a flexible work schedule including different shifts and overtime when neededPhysical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), kneeling, reaching, grasping (use of both hands), squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists (flexing or rotating with both wrists), use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, work extended periods of time in same position, perform duties in all climates i.e. weather, extreme temperatures, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipmentWE OFFERSecure, long-term employment Competitive wage and benefits package Training and development Opportunities for advancement OT available Heidelberg Materials is a drug free workplace.
