Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Chemist to perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products. The ideal candidate will conduct various tests such as titrations, FTIR, GC, HPLC, Color, and viscometer, and ensure all quality standards are consistently applied.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products using titrations, FTIR, GC, HPLC, Color, viscometer, and other tests.Conduct calculations for batch testing in a lab environment utilizing instrumentation and physical test methods.Follow setup procedures and work instructions for laboratory equipment.Understand and apply all customer and company quality standards consistently.Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE at all times.Essential SkillsMinimum 1 year of industry experience in quality control, chemistry, or chemical manufacturing.Proficiency in gas chromatography (GC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Experience with analytical testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and techniques, including FTIR, titration, and liquid-liquid partition.Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Additional Skills & QualificationsBS in Chemistry or other Sciences preferred; AS in Chemistry is acceptable.Experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred.Work Environment
This position requires working independently on the night shifts in a lab setting. The candidate will be working with chemical products, necessitating chemical knowledge. The lab is equipped with new testing equipment. The work schedule consists of a 12-hour night shift, following a 2/2/3 non-rotating shift pattern in a 7-day x 24-hour chemical operation, from 7PM to 7AM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00
