Unique Skills:

Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years quality inspection related experience or 5 years quality inspection experience on company aircraft. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.

Position Purpose:

Supervises, assigns and reviews work for assigned QC Inspection personnel in Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, or Final Phase to ensure inspection activities are accomplished in a timely and accurate manner. Plans daily work assignments for assigned inspection personnel to ensure inspection activities are accomplished within FAA guidelines. Coordinates training for assigned personnel and gives input for performance reviews.Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: Assign and coordinate work tasks to ensure adequate inspection coverage is maintained for assigned departments. Monitor work to ensure compliance to specifications, regulations and completeness of aircraft records and documentation.

Provide performance feedback to employees and input to management for performance reviews. Provide coaching/mentoring to all QC Inspectors and develop QC Inspector Sr ability to coach, mentor and train.

Work with other departments to resolve issues and conduct meetings to ensure timely flow of information.

Manage training and certifications of assigned inspectors. Provide technical support to manufacturing process.

Perform inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings and orders, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions and other related documents.

Conduct work in a manner that enhances own/other employees health and safety, product safety and promotes risk reduction; participate openly in safety-related event investigations, and immediately report workplace hazards and make suggestions for control; cooperate and contribute toward the overall success of the Safety program at the local level.

Additional Functions: Work with management to establish objectives and goals. Lead team to ensure company and department goals related to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, employee development and cost are met. .

Monitor aircraft affected by alert notices to ensure completion of inspections and documentation. .

Lead projects, champion continuous improvement. .

Review employee daily job charging to maintain accuracy of input. .

Maintain and assign required. overtime while maintaining department budget. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: Must have strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to read and interpret GAC CATIA or blueprints, work instructions and engineering orders.

Must demonstrate effective leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities and possess strong team building skills.
