Quality Control Engineer 2 - Richmond, VA

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Engineer 2 is responsible for following the M.C. Dean Quality Control (QC) Program to achieve and verify quality expectations for a durable and reliable installation. The Quality Control Engineer 2 is responsible for performing field inspections to ensure work is in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

Document tailored processes across the value stream using ISO, CMMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, PMBOK, ITIL and other internationally recognized process frameworks. Collaborates with other members of management to develop new processes and methods in assigned functional areas Creates product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures Understand challenges in the existing AS-IS processes and recommend improvements for process optimization Identify technical and administrative controls and create rules, policies, and procedures for the control implementation. Lead all activities involving quality assurance, compliance, audits, deliverables, and process improvement. Conduct project specific audits to measure the degree of adherence to documented policies and procedures. Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Develop project scorecard on Quality Assurance and report to project and executive teams on the level of adherence. Work on special process improvement projects to identify root cause and put in place corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

Education, Experience & Qualifications Required: 

2-4 Years of experience with a Bachelors Science Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, with Industrial/Systems Engineering preferred. Must successfully pass a background check Extensive knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC 3-Phase Quality Control System.

Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Identify and understand the speech of another person.
