We are seeking an experienced and talented Quality Control Engineer to join our Southern California team in our Irvine Millikan Lab. This is an exempt position.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our materials testing and special inspections team. We work on a variety of innovative, unique, and award-winning projects in the commercial, residential, industrial, energy generation and distribution, and educational sectors.
Responsibilities: Oversight and management of materials testing and inspection projects Review field inspection reports Review laboratory test reports Preparation of proposals for testing and inspection services, including take-offs and cost estimates Prepare mix design for review/approval Prepare project close-out documentation and reports
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 5-10 years of experience working in a civil or geotechnical environment Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain one Demonstrated knowledge of test methods Strong problem-analysis skills and the ability to develop alternative strategies Experience overseeing materials testing and special inspections Prior experience in quality management Understanding of accreditation policies for all relevant agencies including Caltrans, DSA, AMRL, CCRL, IAS, etc. Proficiency in MS Office Must be able to pass a background check
