Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide quality-related technical and administrative assistance in support of plant quality and production systems. Candidate should have quality control or quality assurance experience within a structured quality system.
Responsibilities:
Measures product quality through the use of statistical methods, control charting, and process improvement techniquesUpdates and maintains Quality Department computer databases and quality system filesConducts various quality tests to ensure customer specifications are metAccurately completes all required quality inspections, and quality systems documentationsMaintains work area in organized, safe and clean mannerFollow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards and Safe Work PracticesAssist and train production floor associates on quality topics to ensure customer specifications are metComplete required calibration of quality test equipment and ensure proper use.Tracks and coordinates non-conforming materialMaintains inventory of department quality suppliesCommunicate pertinent information at shift change QualificationsRequirements:

The plant was built in 2006, manufactures PET, and has approximately 150 employees. (The City of Abilene recognized Pactiv Evergreen - ABL for their economic impact by awarding the plant a resealed parking lot and painted facility in 2020.)
