Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Testing:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measurement tools (e.g., callipers, micrometres, gauges).Conduct functional tests to verify product compliance with specifications.Identify and report any deviations from quality standards.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate inspection records, including test results, defects, and corrective actions.Support with the creation and issuing of standard operating procedures (SOPs)Prepare and submit quality reports to the Quality Manager and production teams.Shopfloor Monitoring:
Conduct random checks and audits during production to ensure adherence to quality procedures.Provide immediate feedback to operators and supervisors regarding quality issues.Assist in identifying root causes of defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Compliance and Standards:
Ensure compliance with company quality policies, industry standards, and customer requirements.Follow and enforce workplace safety regulations and environmental policies.Collaboration:
Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve processes and resolve quality issues.Support training initiatives to promote quality awareness among shopfloor staff.Tools and Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure that inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and in good working condition.Notify appropriate personnel if calibration or repair is required.
