In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our products meet the highest standards. You'll perform testing and inspection of products and processes, meticulously record data, and prepare formal inspection reports. Your work will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for quality and excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** + Conduct thorough inspections and testing of manufactured products. + Perform quality audits of processes and products using sampling plans. + Execute First Article Inspections (FAI) of supplied and manufactured products based on customer or internal drawings. + Operate and maintain testing and inspection equipment, ensuring proper calibration. + Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Actions Reports (CARs). + Assist with root cause analysis to prevent non-conforming products. + Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) in manufacturing. + Develop and maintain Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and test protocols. + Take on additional duties as needed to support business goals. **Essential Skills:** + Minimum of 2 years of quality control experience. + At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing in-process inspections. + Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and gauges. + Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) and/or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) per ASQ guidelines is a plus. + Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques. + Strong math, reading comprehension, and statistical skills. + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Certificate/Diploma from a Technical or Trade school. + Minimum of 5 years of similar experience in a manufacturing or testing facility. + Proficient with computer skills, including MS Office and Outlook. + Experience with mechanical product and mechanical inspections. **Why Work Here:** + Enjoy a generous holiday break with production shut down from December 19th to January 2nd. + Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits upon permanent hire. + Be part of a forward-thinking company moving to a 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. **Work Environment:** + Schedule: 6:30am to 5pm with a half-hour lunch. + Frequently required to stand, walk, and operate testing and inspection equipment. + Occasionally required to stoop or kneel and lift or move and/or carry 30 pounds or more. + Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. + Exposure to shop elements such as noise, moving parts and equipment, dust, and fumes. + Noise level is usually low to moderate with moderate to low indoor temperatures or climate controls. **Job Type & Location:** + This is a Contract to Hire position based in Oakland Park, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 • Medical, dental & vision • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) • Short and long-term disability • Health Spending Account (HSA) • Transportation benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Oakland Park,FL. **Application Deadline** This position will be accepting applications until Jan 27, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
