Quality Control Inspector
Job Title: Quality Control Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in quality control, with the ability to perform inspections, create detailed reports, and assist in maintaining calibration records. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and proficiency in various inspection tools and software.

ResponsibilitiesPerform first article inspections of new and revised parts and assemblies using precision inspection instruments.Create detailed First Article Inspection reports using the FAI database (SharePoint) and submit them for review.Conduct Quality Control Special Studies inspections on various parts and assemblies, producing detailed reports using Microsoft Excel and Windows Paint.Assist in the calibration of inspection instruments and maintain calibration records for various tools such as torque wrenches, scales, and calipers.Aid in quality investigations to determine the root cause of quality-related issues in parts and assemblies.Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 5S principles and general housekeeping practices.Conform to all safety and quality requirements.Perform additional duties and assignments to support the operation and overall function of the department and company.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years of quality control experience with proven proficiency in all aspects of quality functions.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Proficiency in interpreting part drawings according to standards and using various inspection tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Optical Comparator, CMM, Form Tracer, Portable CMM, Visual System, Hardness Tester, and various inspection gauges).Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and trigonometry.Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work within the injection molding department performing QC work periodically in tandem with the operators. The role includes working with various technologies and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient environment. Our dress code includes safety shoes, with reimbursement available for required maintenance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Zurich, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
