Quality Control Inspector
Job Title: Quality Control InspectorJob Description We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team supporting the Everglades Restoration Program. The Inspector will support the Project Manager, ensuring that all construction activities and materials meet the expectations of the contract. They will review all submittal data, RFIs, drawings, technical specifications, etc. and verify that the contract requirements are being followed. The initial job involves a large pump station project in Loxahatchee for the SFWMD. This role requires the Inspector to be 80% in the field and 20% in the project office. Responsibilities + Ensure all construction activities and materials meet contract expectations. + Review and verify submittal data, RFIs, drawings, and technical specifications. + Support the Project Manager in maintaining project quality. + Conduct field inspections and review elevation readings. + Manage and document material take-offs. + Assist with RFI, submittals, and shop drawing reviews. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree. + 2+ years of experience in civil or mechanical construction projects. + Familiarity with grading, drainage, paving, bridge construction, retaining walls, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pump station construction scopes. + Proficiency in computer skills with preferred experience in P6 Software, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and/or E-Builder. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with USACE and/or SFWMD is a plus. + Experience with RFIs, submittals, material take-offs, blueprints/drawings, and field inspections. + Pump station experience is a plus. Work Environment The role involves working on-site at the project site in Loxahatchee. The Inspector will report to the Project Manager and work alongside a Project Engineer, Superintendent, and Site Safety & Health Officer. This is an exempt position with typical working hours from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, subject to change based on schedule and weather conditions. Weekend work (Saturday) may be required occasionally. The dress code includes a hard hat, steel-toe boots, work pants, company shirt, safety vest, gloves, and safety glasses. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.46/hr.
