Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure that concrete members meet the required tolerances as specified by shop cards and PCI standards. You will perform concrete testing, witness stressing, and establish adequate curing controls to maintain high-quality production.

ResponsibilitiesInspect bed set-up according to shop drawings for proper size and placement of all reinforcement, including strands, plate location, and all structural connections.Note any nonconforming items and notify proper personnel to bring the product into conformance.Perform concrete testing including slumps, unit weights, air content, release cylinders, and 28-day tests.Set up steam clocks to ensure proper curing temperature.Monitor finishing procedures in the finishing shed.Inspect final products, note any nonconformances, and notify the Engineering Department for approval or repair work orders.Tag conforming products with a green tag and nonconforming products requiring engineering approval with a red tag.Check red-tagged members after repair to ensure they conform to Engineering's requirements.Document and submit all non-conformances requiring engineering approval in writing.Essential SkillsQuality controlQuality assuranceQuality inspectionProficiency in using a tape measureUnderstanding of shop drawingsConcrete testing and inspectionAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust be able to read a tape measure.General knowledge of shop drawings.Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.Must be ACI Certified or have previously held the certification.Must be PCI Level 1 Certified or have previously held the certification.Ability to work any shift and weekends as needed.Reliable transportation.Willingness to work in an outdoor environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conley, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
