Seacoast a GCG Company, is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Chesapeake, VA!
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for operating assigned equipment, performing inspections to ensure product quality, and maintaining compliance with customer specifications and company standards. This role involves processing and prioritizing orders, conducting final and in-process inspections, and handling necessary documentation for shipments. The Inspector must adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean work environment, and communicate effectively with internal teams regarding discrepancies or unclear instructions.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $20/hr with full benefits
Location: 3800 Cook Blvd. Chesapeake, VA 23323
What You'll Do
Utilize calibrated measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, rulers, and microscopes) to inspect materials and finished products for conformance to specificationsPrioritize and process orders in the correct sequence, using reference charts/specs; ensure compliance with required documentationReport material discrepancies, unclear instructions, or maintenance needs to Lead/Manager; communicate with sales regarding orders issues or customer documentation requirementsPerform in-process inspections, verifying correct materials, strip lengths, tinning, and final product qualityAdhere to safety protocols, including PPE and hazardous material handlingUtilize label printers, ERP systems, custom forms, and ScannersOperate equipment including cut/strip, tubing Cutter, coil head, spooling, forklifts, scales, and shrink wrap machinesReconcile final inspection documentation for shipments including REACH, RoHS, CoCPerform additional duties as assigned

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to three years of related experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and/or experience as a machine operatorExperience with production equipment and measuring tools preferredAbility to operate a calculatorStrong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructionsAbility to operate machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacksBasic math and reading skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and take responsibility for own actionsMust be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbsWhat we offer
