Overview

Inspect products (products at each production step and finished goods before delivery) by non-destructive examination using tools including micrometers, calipers, thread gages, height gages, bore gages, hardness testers, FARO arm, 3D scanner and other inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

Supports the quality department by performing and recording dimensional inspection measurementsSupplies technical assistance (defect detection, acceptance and rejection) to the manufacturing departmentEstablishes non-conformity reports when necessary and helps manage MRB areas and NCR processIs responsible for the necessary administration by maintaining various databases, reports, and files to support the QC functionTakes all the actions to keep tools and instruments in conformity with the ISO procedures and QA/QC recommendationsSuggests and discusses with the Quality Manager improvements on processes, equipment, and toolsEnsures that products containing non-conformity are under control by placing non conform products into quarantine areaProvides his/her NDE knowledge to assists actively in checking customer requirements on TDW productsProvides and archives technical data (codes and standards) and records to increase customer satisfactionParticipates in process improvement projects and/or manages projects in the quality departmentDemonstrates self-motivated continuous learning

Experience

High school degree or equivalentAt least 2 years’ experience in a machining, welding or quality role using measuring toolsAbility to interpret quality control standards and drawingFamiliarity with Root Cause Analysis tools preferredExperience with performing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) preferredSkilled in MS Microsoft suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) requiredGood verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate personal computer skillHigh attention to detail
