In this role, you will perform laboratory tests to determine the chemical and physical characteristics or composition of in-process batches, raw materials, and finished products. You will also be responsible for verifying formula and component specifications, setting up and operating laboratory equipment, testing samples of manufactured products, maintaining quality records, evaluating product batches in response to quality complaints, conducting in-coming raw material testing, and performing routine production quality checks. Hard Skills + Laboratory tests + Operating laboratory equipment + In-coming raw material testing + Routine production quality checks + QC laboratory experience within GMP Environment Job Responsibilities: + Perform laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of in-process batches, raw materials, and finished products. + Verify formula and component specifications on batch tickets. + Set up, adjust, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments, including viscometers, chemical balances, pH meters, gloss meters, solids analyzers, -spectrophotometers, FTIR, NIR, and Gas Chromatographs. + Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications. + Record test results on batch tickets and in the company’s computer operating system. + Organize and maintain quality records and retains of production batches. + Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications. + Perform routine production quality checks to ensure finished products are filled and packaged according to specifications. Qualifications: + High School Diploma Required. + Associates or Bachelors in Scientific Discipline Preferred. + If no degree, 1-3 years of QC Laboratory experience within a GMP environment is Required.
