Position Overview:

The Quality Control Manager position is responsible for managing quality control (QC) operations and assisting with field operations and processes in their region. This position is full-time that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Quality Control Director, and has supervisory responsibility.

Incentive(s) $1500 Sign-On Bonus Annual Clothing Stipend Annual Safety Incentive General Duties and Functions: Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects Be aware of and familiar with the Company Handbook Teach, coach, and work with the team in a constructive manner Consistently keep the office clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency Actively participate in any recommended or mandatory training Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work Essential Duties and Functions: Will be responsible for supervising Quality Control Technicians in the Region Manage the Quality Control (QC) Department for their region’s operations and personnel Assist in integrating the Quality Management System (QMS) for their region Coordinate with the Quality Control Director on Quality Control related items, such as issues, trends, and/or projects Assist in the bidding process for their region, which includes reading specifications, plans, etc. Assist with design or product codes for their region Complete site visits to production facilities to monitor the quality of the products Troubleshoot, identify, correct, and prevent quality control issues Oversee testing and record-keeping on aggregates and concrete for their region Oversee calibrations of all production facilities for their region Maintain and enforce safe practices in their region Understand and comply with Federal (FAA, Army Corps of Engineers, Railroad, etc.) specifications Assist in training Quality Control and Production personnel on mix designs and additives Position Requirements: Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Review and drug test State DOT Certifications At least 2 years of management experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience testing asphalt, aggregates, and concrete. ACI certifications Microsoft Office Skills Physical Requirements: Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders Pushing/Pulling Twisting/Bending Sitting/Standing/Balancing Operate hand and foot controls Simple/Firm grasping Ability to lift/lower over 50 pounds Ability to carry over 50 pounds Squatting/Stooping/Crouching Kneeling/Crawling Gross manipulation (pinching) Benefit Offering: Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000 per year (Based on experience, location, etc.) Health – Dental – Vision Ins.
