SUMMARY

CEI a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a Quality Control Manager to support our various construction projects from our Las Vegas, NV office. The QCM will be responsible for ensuring safety oversite and training for the contract.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure that all materials, workmanship, and repairs are in full compliance of the contract, plans, and specifications and all building codes.Review and approve all submittals and perform daily inspections of the work.Prepare reports, both daily and monthly.Monitor daily progress of projects.Review and enforce company quality control plan and have working knowledge of safety plan.Possess a thorough and working knowledge of the plans and specifications of work performed.Create and manage project submittal registers.Assist with creating project specific Quality Control Plans.Collection & Submission of all necessary submittals.Assure safety requirement are strictly adhered to.Perform risk management and quality control to minimize project risks.Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.Attend, facilitate, coordinate all required meetings and progress updates.Provide onsite project oversight and leadership of quality control.Interacts with management to document and monitor changes in construction procedures.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.Must have demonstrated strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and high-level analytical and problem solving skills.Must have demonstrated the ability to think strategically, multi-task, understands processes, and work in a fast-paced, changing environment under extreme deadlines.Attend, facilitate, and coordinate required meetings and progress updates. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) with minimum of 2 years’ experience in related work or non-PE with minimum of 5 years’ experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is a must.Excellent communication and time-management skills.Strong organization skills.Strong attention to detail is a must.Maintaining good attendance, (punctuality) and actively participating with a positive attitude is essential.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to perform in a fast pace environment.Valid Driver's license with good driving record.Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.The ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.The ability to perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information, files and document processing.The ability to positively represent the organization to customers, the public, the government and other external sources. This information may be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.The ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.

This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

This position is required to be on-site at all times during construction.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations. 50%+ travel required.
