Quality Control Manager

Expected pay: $150,000 to $180,000 per year

Position Overview

The Quality Manager provides full-time support to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Support (AM&LS) Program.

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Evaluates the quality of maintenance accomplished in the maintenance organization and performs necessary functions to manage the organization’s Quality Assurance Plan (QASP) IAW AS 9100D requirements. Leads the evaluation and analysis of deficiencies and problem areas that highlight and identify underlying causes of nonconformance in the maintenance operations and production efforts and address areas for improvement. Responsible to the AM & LS Program Manager to perform as the primary technical advisory agency for the maintenance effort. Serves as the primary technical advisor in the maintenance organization, assisting maintenance supervision at all levels to resolve quality problems. Must be customer oriented. Makes recommendations to the Program Manager to enhance the quality of maintenance. Develops the QASP, using an AS9100D approved database. Acts as the focal point to ensure appropriate actions are taken to notify the CBP Customer when deficiencies are found in Technical Data or instructions. Implements and administers the QASP and other programs IAW appropriate directives. Manages the Quality Activities Inspections when directed. Establishes and Manage the Product Improvement Program (PIP). Establishes and Manage the Deficiency Reporting (DR) IAW CBP/PWS directives. Reviews maintenance related local Maintenance Operations Plan (MOP), Supply Operations Plan (SOP), training standards, and aircraft log and records for accuracy, intent, and necessity (document these reviews). Ensures functional checklists are reviewed annually for currency and document this review. Assigns and manages Site Inspectors. W&B Program Manager. Ensures the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention Program is conducted IAW PWS. Oversees and implements the Impoundment Program IAW PWS/SOP. Oversees the prevention of dropped objects and assists in investigating incidents IAW MOPs. Ensures maintenance actions relating to hot refueling are accomplished IAW MOP, applicable technical data, and CBP supplements. Monitors the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP)/Corrosion Control Program as required. Evaluates maintenance Technical Order (TO). Develops key task and routine inspection listings (KTL / RIL), in conjunction with the AOS Site Manager, and provides copies of approved lists to all affected organizations. Ensures standardized Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) / standards are developed for all tasks including key tasks and routine inspection lists. Ensures agendas and presentations are compiled for the Maintenance Standardization & Evaluation Program Summary, as required. Evaluates and documents contractor performance IAW the Performance Management Program (PMP), if applicable. Manages training program requirements and takes the actions necessary to ensure that all personnel training, certification, and re-certification requirements are met. Practices and promotes the principles of the Six Sigma Program as necessary. Approves / Certifies Special Certification Roster Appointments. Manages Local One-Time Inspections / Special Inspections / Inspection Reports Authority.
