Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Control Manager/Site Safety and Health Officer (QCM/SSHO) for an exciting project with the Army Corps of Engineers. This project involves an 8M dollar robotics building, which is a completely new build from the shell to all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and utilities.
ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the construction project at the NIST Campus in Gaithersburg.Ensure site safety and adherence to construction safety standards.Conduct construction inspections and ensure compliance with federal construction requirements.Interpret and apply construction drawings.Coordinate with the on-site project manager and regional director during client meetings.Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with USACE regulations.Essential SkillsQCM certificationEM-385-1-1 certificationOSHA 30 certificationExperience with site safety protocols and construction inspectionsAbility to read and interpret construction drawingsMinimum of 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in federal constructionExperience with precast building constructionAdditional Skills & QualificationsArmy Corps QCM certificationStrong problem-solving skills and initiativeProject management abilitiesPersonable and client-facing skillsWork Environment
Work will be performed on-site at the NIST campus in Gaithersburg. The on-site team includes a Project Manager who is present two days a week for client meetings, and a regional director who attends client meetings monthly. The company is fast-growing with a promising future, having shown good performance on recent projects at NIH and NIST.
