Quality Control Operator

The Quality Control Operator will support the Battery Production Process, specifically the inspection of products using proper visual standards and measurement devices, as well as operational support of the press and assembly stations. The successful candidate will have prior quality experience in a manufacturing environment, is capable of working independently, and is adept within a cross-functional team environment and within a cross-functional role. Highest level of integrity, effective communication, strong reporting skills and data-driven decisions in which to support customer requirements is the focus. Responsibilities: + Responsible for the quality testing of WIP material as it exits the press. + Responsible for online quality testing to include 2D gauge adherence, thickness testing, visual inspection, and label production. + Accurate entry of quality data into appropriate electronic files and according to quality work instructions and procedures. + Support of production by acting as an operator for press and assembly activities according to production work instructions and procedures. + Responsible for inspections of incoming materials. + Supporting Quality and Operations processes with day-to-day issues. + Responsible for timely communication of non-conforming material. + Support of Quality Department special projects when needed. + Must comply with all Federal, State, Local and Company rules and regulations on Health, Safety and Environmental issues. + Responsible for maintaining Alkegen's highest level of safety standards on site including identifying and correcting unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. + Will embody Alkegen's core safety principles including but not limited to The Seven Safety Absolutes, use of PPE, and Safe Standards of Work at all times. + Will champion safety in the workplace each day.
