Willdan is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to review project and inspection data for energy efficiency projects to ensure program quality in New York City area. This role will ensure internal and external review of program and project data to be in strict compliance with utility program expectations for project verification.  

Responsibilities: 

Develop, manage and implement the Company’s internal verification process and field verification process to support Client’s energy efficiency programsAlign the Company’s QA/QC procedures and processes with program requirementsReview of project documentation including program applications, scopes of work, equipment specification sheets and certificates, field verification guides, M&V reports, inspection punchlists, etc.Review of energy savings calculations to ensure inputs are appropriate for the intended operation of the energy conservation measureLiaise with client’s QA/QC, M&V and engineering departmentsSchedule and direct the work of inspection personnelOn occasion, perform site inspections for high profile projects/customersDevelop reports to monitor, measure and track performance against relevant metricsWork across different program functionalities (e.g., program management, subcontractor recruitment & training, data management, engineering, etc.) to review program findings related to qualityDrive continuous improvement by leveraging best practicesServe as a resource to staff and contractors to ensure knowledge of the Company’s quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality processes and proceduresEngagement in any and all areas critical to meeting program objectives

Job Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering disciplineExtreme attention to detail Strong technical and conceptual understanding of residential/multifamily building science, energy efficiency and utility energy efficiency programsStrong technical knowledge of electric saving ECMs including chiller plant upgrades, air-side/water-side equipment, motors, VFDs, DCV, etcStrong technical knowledge of gas savings ECMs including boiler plant upgrades, EMS, 1 pipe/2 steam RCxHigh level of oral and written communication skills including public speaking and client and internal presentationsDemonstrated time management and organization skillsSound reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking abilitiesAdaptability; comfortable with ambiguity and uncertaintyCultural competence; the ability to think and act across the traditional boundaries of function and organizational culturesIntellectual curiosity; a deep hunger for continuous learning, improvement and growth
