Quality Control Specialist 1st Shift

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Inspection Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of our products through the use of various measuring tools, operating machinery, and packing parts for shipment. This position requires a strong understanding of quality control processes and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Full time position 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.

Quality Inspection:

Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other specialized equipment.Identify and document any defects or non-conformities in products, ensuring compliance with company standards and specifications.

Machine Operation:

Operate and monitor machinery used in the production process, ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and safely.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to maintain optimal performance.

Packing and Shipping:

Prepare inspected parts for shipment by packing them securely to prevent damage during transit.Label and document packages accurately, ensuring that all shipping requirements are met.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of inspections, measurements, and any discrepancies found during the inspection process.Generate reports on quality metrics and provide feedback to the production team for continuous improvement.

Collaboration:

Work closely with production staff to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.Participate in team meetings to discuss quality control processes and share insights on improving product quality.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality control or a related field is a plus.Proven experience in a quality inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment.Basic understanding of machine operation and maintenance.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Familiarity with quality control standards and practices (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise measurements and packing tasks.

Work Environment:

This position typically operates in a manufacturing or production environment, which may include exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
