Quality oriented employee who ensures that department maintains inspection readiness at all times. Manages required documentation and ensures regulatory processes are in place. The incumbent actively supports and complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures. This employee will also be responsible for auditing all internal process to ensure compliance with SOP and annually review and revise (if necessary) all SOPs for Specimen Processing and Lab Support. She/He will be responsible for the administration of compliance training, proficiency training and safety training as well as, in conjunction with the department manager, the development and oversight of trainers and training modules.
Provides technical and non-technical training duties and responsibilities. Monitor Client Concern responses to ensure disciplinary/corrective actions are doled out as described and re-trainings occur as needed. Perform monthly audits of attendance to ensure all supervisors have their employees at the correct level of disciplinary action for the respective number of unscheduled TOP days. Perform monthly audits of errors to ensure all supervisors have their employees at the correct level of disciplinary action for the respective number of errors they’ve committed. Track departmental QIPs and work with manager to record metrics, calculate them and develop plans to improve on them. Oversee department on-boarding for both Specimen Processing and Tech OPs. Solicit the topics for and then construct the format of the monthly staff meetings. Collect and file all supervisors’ completed sign-off sheets. Will be the point person for all inspections – internal and external. Maintain all training documents and technical records for Specimen Management and Tech OPs personnel. Perform audits of existing processes and proposed corrective actions. Facilitate on-site training sessions including but not limited to safety, compliance and proficiency testing. Annually review all applicable SOPs to ensure departmental compliance, proposing revisions wherever necessary. With trainers, monitor errors to determine where more general educational sessions are necessary. Conduct in-services to educate staff and train the trainer. Meet regularly with manager to discuss and review training modules. Suggest room for improvements, for the sake of quality. May perform other related tasks as assigned.
