Position SummaryITT Enidine is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join their team in Orchard Park, NY. The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising personnel and coordinating activities to control product quality, throughput and resolve product quality issues. This ideal candidate will have prior experience driving improvement activities, investigating and reporting on product quality, addressing product complaints and other defined business metrics.
Essential Responsibilities Provide work direction and guidance throughout the shift on issues relating to Quality and schedule attainment. Assures that inspection procedures are being followed to verify conformance to specifications.Responsible for MRB Management (Material Review Board)Development of inspection plans to ensure consistency and mitigate risk. Maintains quality control records, certifications, calibration, and material review records. Issues reports with interpretations and recommendations.Acts as a liaison for quality control with Operations, Design, SQE’s, suppliers and customers to assure control of quality for incoming and outgoing items.Trains employees to perform job function efficiently and effectively.Recommends measures to improve inspection methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.Ensures proper level gauging by estimating number needed, requisitioning, or repairing.Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Supervise quality and calibration technicians as assigned.Performs other functions as required. Position Requirements Technical bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment OR AAS degree with 7+ years of equivalent experience is required2+ years of experience in quality is requiredExperience in mechanical inspection using open set-ups is requiredSupervisory experience is a plusExcel experience is a plusERP system experienceAS9100 experience is preferredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises employees of the Quality Control department. Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
