Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Quality Control Supervisor to oversee our team of QC chemists and report directly to the quality manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all lab operations, developing and improving quality systems, ensuring proper calibration of lab equipment, and assisting with technical tasks as needed.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of QC chemists.Develop and improve quality systems within the lab.Ensure the lab is maintained in proper order and all equipment is calibrated daily.Assist with technical tasks as needed.Essential SkillsQuality control experience.Chemistry knowledge.Laboratory experience.BS degree in sciences preferred.Prior leadership experience, either current supervisory or management experience, or readiness to take the next step.Quality assurance experience.Experience with HPLC.Additional Skills & QualificationsMultiple years in a technical quality lab role.Management or leadership experience in applicable industries such as paints, coatings, chemicals, or cosmetics.Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.Work Environment
The work schedule is a fixed shift from Monday to Friday with start times between 7-10am and end times between 4-7pm. Flexibility and willingness to work off-shift hours are required. Future shifts may rotate in 3-month blocks. The lab is located in a smaller personal care/cosmetics manufacturing site with one room devoted to analytical instruments and a larger shared lab for quality and R&D activities. The quality team has five members, with always two per shift, and the R&D team consists of seven people, mainly working day shifts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $36.06/hr.
