The Quality Control Technician for Batteries Plus will perform a variety of tasks to meet quality and productivity standards to ensure that product is handled correctly. The Quality Control Technician will also ship out products to our customers in a timely manner.\n

Shifts Available:\n\n2nd Shift - Sunday-Thursday 2p-10p plus additional $.75\/hour shift premium\n\n
Responsibilities:\n
Quality Audits\n\nPerform audits at various stages of the distribution process to identify and correct errors.\nUse electronic scanning devices to audit inventory as well as to track movement of products.\nScan and verify accuracy of item, quantity and destination of product being loaded against invoice.\nDocument and report errors.\nRead and understand Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents to ensure proper Inbound and Outbound warehouse process.\nUnderstand product weights and types to maintain quality and avoid damage and spoilage of products.\nProvide immediate feedback to help improve the overall quality standards of the department.\nReport quality numbers on a daily basis with quality improvement recommendations.\nLift up to 50 pounds items while performing audits and use foot to operate a machine to lift heavier products.\nUse warehouse management software (WMS) to assist with locating orders and products within the warehouse.\n\n
General\n\nFollow all safety procedures and rules established in the facility. Wear proper PPE\nKeep all work areas clean and free of hazards. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or damaged products\nActively participate in all safety and other training programs\n\n
Qualifications:\n\nMinimum of 3 months of warehouse distribution center experience. Have an understanding of distribution center operations, inspection, quality control\/testing, product specifications and willingness to be cross trained in all areas\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, training audits and procedure manuals\nAbility to become equipment certified\nProficiency in basic math\n\n
Preferred Qualifications:\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent strongly preferred\nSelf-directed and self-motivated with good collaborative skills\n Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications\nDemonstrates analytical and problem solving skills\nDemonstrates sound judgment and organizational skills\nAbility to learn and adapt to new technology\n\n
