Job Description
Perform QC testing on the production floor including metal detection checks, leak tests, percentage tests, etc. Perform line audits once every hour on each production line including 1st piece, in process, and final inspections/QC tests. Perform calculations to determine percentages of materials and total ounces. Perform basic testing including moisture, salt, and fat (automated testing). Document in paper and computer form daily numbers, testing performed, etc. Work with production personnel on a daily basis to perform QC checks and help correct errors that may occur.

Work Environment
This is a smaller food manufacturing company but it produces large volumes of product for large customers such as CVS and Costco. They are also taking on new larger customers that could eventually increase the product output. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with mandatory Saturdays. The hours for first shift are typically a 4:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. start time. The hours for second shift are typically a 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. start time, currently starting at 1:00 p.m. Shifts are roughly 8-10 hours per day depending on how busy they are and the time of year. This person will be cross-trained in every aspect of the quality department, so some days may involve no lab work while other days may be entirely lab-focused. The person has to be open to performing any kind of quality work that is requested of them.
