The Quality Control (QC) Technician for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the QC team, primarily through Stock Management within QC, ensuring appropriate stocks of materials are available for testing, this involves, preparation of solutions, ordering, stock counts and procedure updates.
This position is part of the QC team located just outside Tulla in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare and will be an onsite position. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Prepare laboratory-solutions to facilitate QC testing and maintenance activities and complete analyser maintenance and assay/analyser/microbiological testing and complete product sampling for testing, which may include sampling the purified water system
Maintain QC logs and QC metrics and maintain & check stock of QC stock materials; and order laboratory consumables and test materials
Maintain QC storage units including room temperature areas, fridges, freezers and cold-rooms
Calibrate laboratory equipment, for example pipettes or balances and complete Change Controls for QC documents
Participate in DBS team continuous process improvement activities and complete GDP Review of QC documentation and participate in departmental 5S activities such as rotated laboratory duties including Synapse Monitoring, maintenance programs, managing laboratory disposable stocks, housekeeping, autoclave waste management etc.
Support audit preparation, including review of documents and laboratory area
Train new employees.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) with 5+ years' experience
Excellent record keeping and high accuracy and attention to detail
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Previous QC/QA experience desirable
Good working knowledge of GMP & Quality & Safety standards
Familiarity with laboratory equipment would be an advantage e.g. Analytical Balances, pH Meters, Pipettes
