Job Description
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for the analysis of raw materials and production materials to ensure compliance with specified literature and derived specifications. This role requires the ability to solve quality non-conformance issues, run product tests, and critically think through and research quality-related problems. This position involves more than routine quality testing and requires a tech-savvy individual.
ResponsibilitiesApprove raw materials and finished goods for use.Determine physical values of materials and chromatographic compliance as detailed in the Quality Control procedural manual.Conduct pH, specific gravity, refractory, titrations, GC, micro plating, and more.Report discrepancies to the Quality Control Manager and assist in determining their origin.Calibrate instrumentation.Run GC's and perform preventative maintenance of instrumentation as detailed within the technical manuals.Adhere to safety guidelines within the workplace.Essential Skills1-3 years of QC experience within a flavors, fragrances, or pharmaceutical company.Understanding of chemistry and the mixing of chemicals.Organizational skills.Collaborative and open-minded.Problem-solving and creative thinking.Experience with laboratory equipment, food science, chemistry, food chemistry, biochemistry, GMP, wet chemistry, color matching, and color match.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in a relevant field.1+ years of documentation and planning experience.1+ years of experience adhering to GMP practices.
