Quality Control Technician
Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Perform QC testing on the production floor including metal detection checks, leak tests, percentage tests, and more. Conduct line audits every hour on each production line, including 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections/QC tests. Calculate percentages of materials and total ounces. Perform basic testing such as moisture, salt, and fat (automated testing). Document daily numbers and tests performed in both paper and computer formats. Collaborate daily with production personnel to perform QC checks and correct errors.

ResponsibilitiesPerform QC testing on the production floor including metal detection checks, leak tests, percentage tests, etc.Conduct line audits every hour on each production line including 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections/QC tests.Calculate percentages of materials and total ounces.Perform basic testing such as moisture, salt, and fat (automated testing).Document daily numbers and tests performed in both paper and computer formats.Collaborate daily with production personnel to perform QC checks and correct errors.Essential SkillsUnderstanding of quality control processes in manufacturing.Understanding of food quality processes.Ability to perform basic math calculations using a calculator (e.g., percentages).Familiarity with GMP, line audits, and quality assurance.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma, HSED, or GED.1+ years of food quality control experience including HACCP.Ability to perform percentage calculations (e.g., 60% of 12 ounces = 7.2 ounces).Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $41600.00
