**Job Title: Quality Control Technician**
**Job Description**
We are a leading developer and manufacturer of engineered polymeric solutions for the medical device industry. Our company supports the healthcare industry and participates in a wide range of market segments such as catheters, minimally invasive, diagnostics, fluid management, and packaging. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect and test raw materials and final products.
+ Scan and file Sales Order, Quality, and Production records.
+ Review inspection records and work order documentation prior to shipping products.
+ Follow all applicable work instructions and test procedures.
+ Record test data and apply statistical quality monitoring methods when applicable.
+ Support in-process inspection as needed.
+ Ensure work instructions and testing performed follow ASTM standards where required.
+ Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards when identified.
+ Review documentation for completeness of data and compliance with good documentation practices.
+ Assist with the completion of NCRs.
+ Identify problems and solutions as a member of the department Ideas Team.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with RF scanners, inventory control, shipping and receiving, loading, inventory, forklift, cycle counts, packaging, and quality inspection.
+ Knowledge of quality control and assurance, including metrology tools, medical device standards, and ISO 9001.
+ Minimum of 3 years of quality experience.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
+ Ability to handle multiple and changing work assignments daily.
+ Self-reliant in determining priorities and setting schedules to meet goals and objectives.
+ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with ASTM test methods is a plus.
+ Associate’s degree in an engineering, science, or other technical field with five or more years of relevant experience is preferred.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is generally an office/laboratory setting with occasional requirements to be in production areas.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Putnam, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
