Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aQuality Control technicianto join theData Center Power & Control Division Teamin Independence, OH.As a member of our Quality Control team, your skills testing product received from our contract manufacturers enables us to offer the high-quality products that our customers rely on. You will be responsible to ensure that all product meets our specifications and quality standards. What Will You Do? + Follow documented procedures to test incoming product and complete Technician work orders. + Conduct new product testing, including obtaining specifications, obtaining approval from appropriate departments, and completion of documentation. + Process documentation for failed product. + Process and document outcome of customer evaluations. + Process customer RMAs, including testing and documentation of all returned product. + Update existing procedures for new products or test equipment. + Program products to meet specifications, per Legrand or customer requirements. + Communicate highly technical material to the team simply and clearly. + Support the team by understanding product applications, apply and streamline Legrand processes to assure closing of opportunities and our ability to deliver products as they are needed. + Deliver solutions that are on time and align with customer expectations. + Assure high customer satisfaction that resolves technical questions, support, and needed assistance. Qualifications Required Skills Education: + Associates degree or equivalent experience is desired. Experience: + 1-3 years of related experience. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: + Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors. + Basic understanding of inventory control procedures. + Proficient keyboarding skills. + Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision. + Ability to perform basic math calculations. + Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. + Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
