Quality Control Technician
**Job Title: Quality Control Technician** **Job Description** The Quality Control Technician works closely with the manufacturing floor to pull samples from finished and in-process batches. This role ensures that all products meet required specifications and customer requirements through rigorous testing and quality assurance measures. **Responsibilities** + Actively participate in safety programs and perform daily checklists and 5S participation. + Follow company safety regulations and report safety issues. + Maintain Lab 5S for a clean and tidy working environment. + Hold safety huddles and meetings. + Perform tests to ensure raw materials and production batches comply with specifications or customer requirements. + Provide adjustment recommendations to production. + Communicate customer special requirements among Sales, Lab, and Production. + Issue and follow up on specifications and procedures, on-hold requests, and corrective/preventive actions. + Issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and color panels for ICO customers. + Maintain accurate and traceable quality control records. + Verify customer complaints and respond with investigation results. + Implement corrective/preventive actions and continual improvement actions. + Maintain valid quality control standards and retains. + Maintain and calibrate lab test equipment and tools. + Maintain lab work statistical data and issue daily/monthly quality control reports. + Conduct internal training and evaluate position training. + Attend assigned training courses actively. + Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager. + General cleanup and maintaining good housekeeping. + Consolidation and organization of the Lab and related areas. + Understand and comply with HSE standards, waste management system, Product Stewardship procedure, distribution and road safety requirements, incident reporting, product SDS (MSDS), and proper PPE related HMIS system. **Essential Skills** + Quality control + Chemistry + Quality assurance + Laboratory experience + Manufacturing + Quality testing + Troubleshooting + Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in maintaining lab cleanliness and organization + Ability to hold and participate in safety meetings + Skill in maintaining and calibrating lab equipment + Proficiency in maintaining accurate and traceable records + Ability to implement corrective and preventive actions + Capability to train and evaluate internal staff **Why Work Here?** This is a long-term contract-to-hire position offering stability and opportunities for growth. This role requires the use of proper PPE and compliance with HSE standards, waste management systems, and product stewardship procedures. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Salem, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.37 - $22.31/hr.
