**Job Title: Quality Control Technician**
**Job Description**
Responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by the company. Duties include maintaining strong overall quality control of products made by the company, adhering to reliability, performance, and customer expectations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Performs incoming inspections of raw materials, customer supplied raw materials, returned goods, and special components.
+ Performs finished good inspections.
+ Performs start-up and in-process inspections.
+ Monitors specific areas of production as directed by the Quality Control Supervisor.
+ Makes measurements and records data as per inspection forms or job cards.
+ Performs testing and records data for statistical process control (SPC) during manufacturing, when required.
+ Communicates with the Quality Control Supervisor about any occurrences of non-conforming products, out-of-control processes, or any other items of concern.
+ Communicates with Manufacturing Engineers about any occurrences of tests failing engineering limits or any other items of concern.
+ Performs computer set up for label printing programs on cutting lines.
+ Assists Engineering as needed for experimental testing.
+ Enters finished goods inspection data into BMS as appropriate.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical measurement skills/experience, such as using calipers and micrometers.
+ Proficiency in quality inspection, micrometers, and precision rulers.
+ Experience in a high-volume production environment.
+ Understanding of part workmanship.
+ Strong interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to handle numbers accurately.
+ Ability to use micrometers, computers, testing equipment, and electronic balances.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Excel skills are a plus.
+ Experience with high-volume manufacturing environments.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Good documentation practices.
+ Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

**Work Environment**
1st Shift - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, New Jersey.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
