Quality Coordinator
Shift: This role is 1st Shift, 5:00 AM-5:00 PM Hourly Rate: $19.97 an hour + At the start of the shift put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear and insure that all safety devices are functioning properly in accordance with company policy. + **Admin Duties** -Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations and check the database for issues. + File QA paperwork, attend production, quality and other related meetings, and complete all other QA administrative duties as required. + Observe all areas of the plant for sanitation criteria, report deficiencies to sanitation supervisor and complete appropriate audit forms + Support all aspects of the Q A Dept. and document controls, including data collection, data entries and generation of COA reports. + Design, implement, and conduct internal audits, in conjunction with the Sr. Quality Assurance Management, all Food Safety and Quality Assurance and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory expectations. + Participate and assist in the review of plant policies and procedures as needed + **Production** -Do the walk through of the assigned line / area (Production, Packaging, Receiving, Finished) and set up QA equipment and assist with production line set-up, check shift reports, centerline data, downtime stops and operator issues as needed. + Complete first piece testing at start-up and at change-overs as required and send samples to the lab as required. + Respond to call-out from production, monitor production, packaging, receiving processes, tools, equipment and employees to ensure all GMP and all other procedures for handling food products are met and maintained. + Check, recipes, temperatures, moisture, appearance, teste, smell of product, verify carton and case data-codes, dates, labels, inspect and verify non-conforming incoming ingredients, verify salt lot numbers and complete metal detector checks as required. + Obtain samples from production lines, record net weight, size, temperature, inspect product, identify defective and non-conforming. + Coordinate and maintain Food Safety Committee., assist the Human Resources in the maintenance of the facility Training Matrix. + Develop and implement job specific training to all employees, ensure overall conformance with all Company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and housekeeping. + Assist in the preparation for all Company Food Safety / Quality Audits and responds to issues as needed, ship samples to corporate. + Notify Line Lead and Production Manager of all deviations in quality factors, communicate results to QA Management in a timely manner + Complete environmental monitoring, equipment swabbing and inspections and maintenance of production and QA/QC documents. + Initiate and complete QA Hold process for off-specification products and WIPs and aid in the sampling and disposition of held materials. + At end of shift, secure all equipment, complete all required paperwork, perform general housekeeping and clean-up as required.
