Quality Coordinator_Medical Group

Position Purpose

The quality coordinator for the medical group is responsible for supporting quality and performance improvement initiatives, patient safety, accreditation/regulatory compliance and advancing evidenced-based practices.

Nature and Scope

The quality coordinator, functions as a subject matter expert and resource to facilitate the achievement of departmental and organizational goals in the following areas:

Quality

Patient safety

Accreditation/regulatory compliance

This position requires collaboration with departmental leadership and providers.

Skills required:

Ability to work independently and as a team

Ability to build relationships

Advanced communication and problem-solving skills

Understanding of process improvement methodology

Analytical skills necessary in order to develop and implement plans and evaluate effectiveness

Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and accreditation agency standards

Project management

Minimum Qualifications

Description

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field required, Masters degree in healthcare related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of two years of clinical, quality and/or relevant healthcare experience.

License(s):

None

Certification(s):

Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
