Quality Coordinator (Medical Labs)
In collaboration with the Laboratory Accreditation and Quality Program Manager, coordinates the actions of individuals and departments to meet the accreditation and regulatory requirements for the Medical Laboratories. Organizes and manages data and information to assist individuals and departments to complete process improvement project.

Provide clinical expertise and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.Collaborate, organize, and collate CAP related applications, inspections, responses and other inspection related duties.Ensure readiness for internal and external laboratory audits and inspections at all times.Coordinate details of Medical Laboratory Quality Plan to ensure it is compliant with all regulatory requirements and inclusive of all CLIA locations.Provide educational support to required departments in areas of laboratory quality improvement, safety, accreditation standards and other regulatory standards.Coordinate the Medical Laboratory Safety Management Program.Identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to facilitate their resolution.Review all BESAFE reports to initiate and support investigation into problem and monitor responses for completion and trends.Monitor compliance with new methods and equipment implementationsCoordinate the document control system, updates and timeliness of reviews for the Medical LaboratoriesImplement and maintain laboratory statistics on LEAN, quality, and safety data; and others as identified.Create visual management tools to support lab and health system initiatives.Communicate related quality outcomes, safety issues and regulatory issues to appropriate staff, residents, faculty and other disciplines/clinical areas involved in care of patientParticipate in multidisciplinary workgroups aiming to systematically resolve quality and patient safety-related issues and to promote the process improvement initiatives.In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $67,849.60 - $108,555.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree with completion of a NAACLS approved MLS/CLS/HTL/CT program preferred, OR Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a NAACLS approved MLT/HTL program.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in laboratory science required; Laboratory compliance or regulatory experience preferred. 
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: /MLS/CLS, CT, HTL, PA or categorical, ASCP or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting, walking to multiple sites throughout the medical center complex and repetitive motion. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. This position requires periodic out-of-state travel.
