Quality Data Specialist

Position Objective:

Supports the outcomes management process through data collection, analysis, and information management.

Essential Job Duties:

Collects, analyzes and shares process and outcomes data in context of clinical and non-clinical factors to improve patient care, treatment and service.Facilitates and participates in activities such as, but not limited to: task forces, work groups, performance improvement and project teams and activities (e.g.: proactive risk assessment, PDCA) to improve results evidenced in outcomes data.Develops formats and presents reports using appropriate graphic presentations of data to become information, supporting leaders to develop and present scorecards/dashboards.Ensures data integrity through inter-rater reliability and validation, ensuring replicability, Identifying errors or inconsistencies in data collection and reports. Follows through to resolve and if applicable, correct.Creates indicators ensuring the data analysis reflects the problem to be solved.Reviews data and reports for trends, common themes, and opportunities for improvement. Recommends statistical analysis tools and reports results to appropriate management and committees.Serves as a resource to data analysts to include, but not limited to, reviewing reported events, classification of cases, including those cases that meet mandatory reporting requirements. Ensures data sources are appropriate.Creates and maintains the Luminis Health Quality Analytics data dictionary.Creates Board, System, Facility, Service Line, Departmental, and Sub-department level data reports, using optimal statistical and presentation tools to create actionable information.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

The minimum level of education and experience for this position includes:

Bachelor’s degreeThree years performance improvement experience including development of indicators, data abstraction, graphic presentation and data analysis required.Proficiency in statistical analysis required.Demonstrated proficiency in software packages to include Microsoft products

Preferred Skills:

Excel, data base creation and management, Tableau, PI Macro’s, SQL, EPIC/EMR documentation.

Experience in healthcare, clinical/operations experience.
