Quality Documentation Specialist, Sr (electronic quality measures experience preferred)

Overview The Quality Documentation Specialist, Sr is responsible for concurrent review of medical record documentation to collect quality data elements as specified by the CMS/TJC Specifications manual or registry manual. Communicate with physicians and physician extenders or nurses regarding missing, incomplete, unspecific, unclear, or conflicting documentation or impending opportunities within measured time frames. Enters findings into vendor database for hospital measures. Gathers and analyzes information pertinent to documentation findings and outcomes of communications and shares as needed. The Senior level position provides metric and subject matter expertise and leadership as well as analytics and presentation of data. Requires thorough knowledge of registry, registry site management or metric ownership. Requires frequent interaction with the clinical staff regarding measures, updating and sharing knowledge of measures or registry to clinical staff. EOE Licensure Registered Nurse Required - And Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality Or Certified Health Data Analyst Or Certified/Licensed/Registered in Field of Practice Required Education Bachelor's Degree Nursing Or Healthcare Required Experience 5 Years Nursing - Related Area And 3 Years Data Collection And 2 Years Electronic Medical Records Required.
