Quality Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Linde Gas Equipment Inc. is seeking a responsible Quality Engineer to join our team

This position will lead continuous improvement efforts to production processes to achieve productivity objectives. An ideal candidate will develop support implementation of Best Operating Practices (BOP) for the operations organization across all 5 production sites. Position will define and help define quality initiatives within the operations to ensure quality initiatives are completed on time and with desired outcomes. The candidate will work with Operations in the division, to identify and close compliance issues, and other hurdles to keeping operations from running smoothly. They will also work with key interfaces (Product Management, Quality, RD, Engineering) on behalf of plants to define and align objectives and requirements for plants.

What you will be doing:

· Primary responsibility for identifying operational improvements needed to improve reliability in operations.

o Work with the quality, engineering, operations, and product management teams to streamline commercialization activities. Reduce outside demands on plant communications with the organization.

o Assist quality and operations in the FMEA process to track actions and update, facilitate, prioritize and schedule FMEAs. Drive FMEA action closure.

o Work with the operations and safety groups to track compliance to harmonized One Linde standards. Assist the operations group with common compliance challenges and help scope projects as needed to close compliance gaps.

o Utilize the Process Outage data to formulate divisional improvements to reduce unscheduled operational outages eg; review PMs, spare parts, etc. to identify BCP risk and close.

· Manage BCP element portfolio to guide divisional activities consisting of FMEAs, reliability studies, supply chain health, capacity studies. Task will be to close gaps when identified.

· Perform BCP activities including BIAs, Raw Material Evaluations, PON data collection evaluation and project scope, audit support, survey response, BCP drill evaluation, DRP review, reliability studies, FMEAs etc.

· Develop a strong working relationship with the Production facilities to develop their business cases / capex request.

· Occasional travel to operations sites to help prepare the sites for safety compliance audits

· Host Compliance workshop discussions with operations to unify Linde Electronics compliance to Safety Standards in the areas of Industrial Hygiene, Personal Safety and PSM.

Required qualifications/experience

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences, Master’s degree a plus

· 5 years’ experience in Operations management

· 10 years’ experience in Quality system Management

· Experience in continuous improvement project execution

· Knowledge of specialty gases equipment and processes

· Proven ability to deliver
