Quality Engineer
Job Title: Quality Engineer Job Description Possess the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving. Own the quality metrics of the responsible area. Document control, product and process qualification, and audit processes. Develop process validation plans and document results. Approve engineering change requests or PLM’s. Lead cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions. Provide quality assurance support to ensure that the products produced meet quality requirements defined by the company for both internal and external customers. Hard Skills + Experience with PDCA, A3, DOE, 5-Why, Fish Bone Diagram, Lean Sigma, DMAIC + Strong knowledge of quality management and lean manufacturing principles + Error Proofing, Eyes for Waste, Visual Management + Ability to gather and analyze data through statistical techniques + Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans and work instructions + Usage of computer software tools, such as Excel or Minitab, to analyze data to detect trends and abnormalities + BS degree in Engineering or Technology + A minimum of 5 years experience as a QE + Knowledge of PFMEA, quality programs, SPC, process capability and lean manufacturing principles + Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems Soft Skills + Expertise in both using and coaching others in approaches + Ability to lead cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions + Ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment Work Site This is a fully on-site position Work Environment This role is onsite 100%.
