**** Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer***

 

Seeking an experienced Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer. 2 to 3 days per week for a 3 month contract opportunity in Jacksonville, FL.

 

Qualifications:

Self-starter with a desire for problem solving and process improvementProven experience of driving root cause and corrective actions with suppliersProven background in quality assurance and thorough understanding of quality tools and techniquesExperience in using problem solving techniques and applying continuous improvement techniques.Understanding of key aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, AS9102, etc. Good technical engineering knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and contract documentationAbility to provide objective inspection support on mechanical commoditiesHands on experience performing audits to ISO or AS9100 criteriaAttention to detail and methodical approach to organizing daily tasks and executing to planProfessional conduct and good communication skills to influence both internally and externalIndividual must have a current/operating laptop with knowledge to access internet and other applications as well as reliable cell phone accessExperience with reporting using MS applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

 

Responsibilities:

Supplier Quality Engineer will drive supplier quality management activities in line with company control procedures, and relevant regulatory standards, i.e. AS9100Drive prioritized supplier nonconformance management and root cause analysisEnsure quality assurance performance for new and existing suppliers including audits, source inspections, First Article Inspection sign-off and change control process managementEnsure accurate flow down of quality requirements to suppliers throughout Product Manufacturing LifecycleResource will report to supplier quality and development teams on daily tasks and supplier performance ratings/status
